Fibroblast Plasma Pen

What is Plasma Pen?

Fibroblast Plasma Pen (or Plasma Pen) is a non-invasive procedure that lifts and tightens skin that uses plasma energy (the 4th state of matter) to regenerate the skin’s epidermal layer while simultaneously heating and disrupting the deeper dermal structure. Plasma pen produces new collagen.

Which are the indications for Plasma Pen?

It treats wrinkles and sagging skin, such as in the periorbital area (around the eyes) and crow’s feet. It is also used to eliminate small skin lesions such as skin tags.

Why Plasma Pen?

There is no bruising, bleeding or stitches. It is a safe and effective treatment with a limited downtime.

What should I expect during treatment?

After cleansing the area to be treated, your doctor will apply an anesthetic cream for approximately 30 minutes to numb your skin. The procedure is almost painless with anesthetic cream, but patient may occasionally feel a prickling sensation.

What should I expect after treatment?

Immediately after the procedure, there is redness and swelling of the treated areas, and patient may experience a “stinging” sensation in the treated area(s). This is normal, and it generally only lasts for about an hour. The treated area may be red and mildly swollen for 2-3 days or longer (especially around the eyes and periorbital areas). Specific instructions regarding aftercare are provided by Dr. Kroumpouzos. Following the aftercare instructions is crucial as it minimizes the risk of complications and enhances the results.
