Which are the indications for Fillers?

Fillers contribute to soft tissue augmentation and restore volume to areas of need for a more youthful appearance. They address mild to moderate facial lines and wrinkles and can enhance lips, cheeks and jawlines. Additionally, they can minimize the deep crease between the lower eyelid and upper cheek (tear trough). Also, they can greatly improve atrophic scarring such as acne scars.

Which are the most commonly used Fillers?

The most commonly used fillers include Belotero, Restylane, Juvederm, Juvederm Voluma, Sculptra, and Radiesse. A combination of fillers is often recommended for optimal results. Fillers are often pre-mixed with anesthetic. There is a possibility of bruising, swelling and/or tenderness in the area for up to five days. Ice will help address swelling and cosmetics can conceal bruising if necessary. Other options to mitigate bruising and get you back into your normal schedule as quickly as possible will be discussed.

Belotero® Balance

Belotero is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring polysaccharide component of all connective tissue, that helps add volume and hydration. It is appropriate for moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds and fine lines, lip enhancement, and correction of tear troughs.

JUVÉDERM®

JUVÉDERM^® XC gels (Ultra and Ultra Plus) are made of hyaluronic acid, and are indicated for augmentation of the lips and perioral area.  JUVÉDERM Ultra is appropriate for fine wrinkles and scars.  JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus is appropriate for volumization and reshaping the face.
