What Are Spider Veins?
Spider veins, also called telangiectasias, are clusters of abnormally enlarged, tiny red, blue, or purple blood vessels in the superficial layers of the skin. They often have the appearance of a spiderweb. The most common locations are the face and legs. They affect women more often than men and become more prevalent with age (noted in up to 50% of the adult population).
